Start with a site brief

Before contacting institutions, write one version of the project facts: plot identity, intended use, phases, requested import capacity, voltage assumptions, cooling principle, water source, backup-fuel concept, operating hours, neighbours and target decision. Mark every number as requested, designed, announced, contracted or measured.

This brief is not a permit application or a connection offer. Its job is to stop different teams from asking different questions about different projects. Link each statement to a source or mark it as an assumption.

1. Cadastral identity and land-control document.
2. One-line project description and phase boundary.
3. Requested load, voltage and connection point assumptions.
4. Cooling, water, fuel, noise and operating-hour assumptions.
5. Source, date and owner beside every material claim.

Power and planning file

Use the grid-connection and building guides next. Svenska kraftnät’s indicative map is context; it is not the property-level connection document. Boverket’s guidance explains the PBL vocabulary; the municipality’s file decides the project-specific status.

• Network owner and point of connection named.
• Latest written position dated and its status defined.
• Announced site power, IT load and grid capacity kept separate.
• Reinforcements, dependencies and payer identified.
• Plan instrument, status and decision body recorded.
• Building permit, startbesked and environmental tracks kept separate.

Environment, neighbours and delivery

A missing project-specific decision is not proof that no decision exists. Mark “not obtained” or “research incomplete” until the file supports a stronger statement. See due diligence, environmental permits, noise, water and municipal engagement for the next questions.

• Water source, annual and peak volumes, discharge or evaporation route.
• Fuel type, storage volume, test hours and emissions case.
• Noise matrix for cooling, generators, deliveries and construction.
• Neighbour and municipal dialogue log with dates and follow-ups.
• FDI scope note from counsel and current ISP material.
• Milestone table: permit, start, completion, energization and commissioning.

1. Name the authority or counterpart for every open item.
2. Attach the source and date, not only a slide reference.
3. State whether each value is designed, reported or measured.
4. Write the consequence of leaving a gap open.
5. Set the next action and decision gate.
